We are The Bartlett, UCL’s global Faculty of the Built Environment. Individually, our schools and sections lead their fields. In partnership, they develop new responses to pressing world issues. As a whole, they represent a world-leading, multidisciplinary faculty, united by the radical spirit of UCL. Our vison is of a world where everything that’s built aims to add to the well-being of people and the environment.  The Bartlett is unrivalled in its breadth and depth of disciplines, programs and departments. It is made up of 12 Schools, Centres and Institutes, providing teaching and research in a wide range of subject areas to over 4,000 students each year from across the world.

The Faculty Education & Student Experience (FESE) team based in the Faculty Office provides a wide range of administrative support to facilitate the delivery of teaching and research activity. The team comprises 9.6FTE which covers three functions: Admissions, Education and the Student Experience. We work collaboratively across the three functions and team members share responsibilities, learn from and cover for each other as necessary.  The post holder will provide professional, comprehensive administrative support for applicants, staff and students in the Bartlett. The post holder will work collaboratively, advising and sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues as necessary and maintain good working relationships with academic colleagues across UCL, ensuring administrative tasks are handled appropriately.

The post holder must be efficient, organised and take great care in attention to detail. In addition, the role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and a positive outlook are essential.  Previous experience of working in higher/further education or in a teaching and learning environment is essential.  Applicants should be proficient in a variety of computer packages including Microsoft Office. As the role involves a varied workload, applicants will need to possess the ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changes positively and thrive on new challenges.
