The first postdoc position is affiliated with the research study job NORDIS funded by the EU Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), and the 2nd postdoc position is affiliated with SHAPE – Shaping Digital Democracy funded by Aarhus University.Postdoc 1– NORDIS is a full-time, fixed-term position from 1 September 2022 up until 31 August 2023, with the possibility of an extension in case of new grants. position from 1 September 2022 up until 31 December 2023, with the possibility of an extension in case of brand-new grants.Postdoc 1: The NORDIS job The NORDIS EU task develops an independent Nordic regional hub with eight partners:

the IFCN-certified nationwide fact-checking organisations and a university in each of the 4 biggest Nordic nations: Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The aim of the task is to reinforce the nationwide and local knowledge facilities through a cross-country, cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral knowledge-based center. The project will contribute to the European Digital Media Observatory( EDMO) platform at EU level with a consortium of four countries that are really comparable in regards to welfare state worths and have similar media systems with strong publicist newspapers and public service broadcasters, along with similar democratic political systems and populations characterised by high levels of trust in organisations and education. This high trust level of the Nordic population makes the findings of the project a fascinating basis for comparisons with EDMO centers in countries with lower levels of trust. DATALAB is the coordinator of the task and leads a research work bundle on collecting, spotting, keeping track of and analysing disinformation on social networks with a special focus on the Nordic well-being state countries, and it is this research work bundle that the postdoc will primarily work on. Postdoc 2: SHAPE -Shaping Digital Democracy is Aarhus University’s freshly developed centre, which intends to produce knowledge on the shared shaping of innovation, democracy and citizen behaviour. Based on an interdisciplinary research study agenda, SHAPE’s research qualifies the general public and political debate by informing decision-makers, legislators and other relevant actors. It will check appropriate theories and deliver specific outcomes, technologies, approaches and guidelines that support digital citizenship. Through interaction and cross-fertilisation between numerous sub-projects (this being among them), SHAPE will offer a holistic understanding of the digital person and digital citizenship, which is highly needed in a Nordic and worldwide context.The postdoc will represent the work bundle on’ collective behaviour and social media’: social media and their algorithms play a considerable role in democracy and social cohesion.
