
In this role, you will provide technical support to groups and individuals for taught programs involving garment construction.
You will be responsible for supporting the Specialist Technician in the operation of teaching and learning facilities and providing assistance and advice to all users with the delivery of the technical services in order to meet course outcomes. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day running and maintaining of our specialist facilities and our teaching and learning resources.
You will not only bring key skills with you but will have the opportunity to develop new skills and experience across a wide range of technical workshops in an evolving area.

Your profile
You will have a degree or an equivalent qualification with substantial experience in industry practice of garment construction, ability to apply knowledge and experience, sharing learning and experience with staff and students. With professional experience in the discipline, you will bring the ability to work collaboratively and constructively with other technical and university colleagues to enhance student experience and outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, whilst adhering to an extremely high standard of customer care, are essential characteristics for this role. The post holder should be highly proactive, well-organised, command excellent interpersonal and supervisory skill while operating with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
