About the Role
The School of Politics and International Relations and the Mile End Institute are pleased to announce that we are seeking an exceptional individual to take up the role of Student Engagement Assistant.

The postholder will be a part of the professional Services team in the School. They will play an active role in developing and delivering the activities of the School.

About You
You will be a core member of the Student Support Team based in the School of Politics and International Relations responsible for delivering administrative support to the Student Support Team and the Education Team. The post holder will help manage the extenuating circumstances applications within the school and answer front line student queries. The post holder will also assist with the monitoring of student engagement and module selection.

The School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary University of London is one of the UK’s leading Politics and International Relations departments. It was ranked 7th overall among UK higher education institutions in the 2022 REF. The School has grown rapidly over the past five years and is now home to 50+ academic staff. It has recently expanded to include Sociology as well as Politics and IR in its teaching and research. It is home to a highly diverse cohort of students and offers a broad-ranging and methodologically plural curriculum in the fields of Politics and International Relations.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus. It is full-time and permanent. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £31,421 – £38,165 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
