
About the Role
This exciting post presents a great opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced Research and Trial Manager to work on a multi-site CE-marked medical device AI study (0.8 FTE). In addition, the postholder will work with a separate project team around a Research Imaging Centre (RIC) proposal currently under discussion with Barts Life Sciences (BLS) (0.2 FTE).
The primary focus of this role will be to coordinate and manage ‘Artificial intelligence-assisted magnetic resonance imaging for quality, efficiency and equity in the NHS care of multiple sclerosis’ (AssistMS) in collaboration with the lead research team based at the Blizard Institute (Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma) and the commercial company co-lead of the project, Icometrix.
Additionally, the candidate will work with the neurology project lead in preparing a business case for the RIC proposal as part of the BLS.
About You
Previous experience in coordinating/managing a multi-site CTIMP or medical device study is essential as is some experience in research management. Previous experience in multiple sclerosis trials would be beneficial.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time, fixed term appointment for 36 months with the possibility of extension, with an expected start date of August 2023 or as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range from £52,549-58,595 per annum.
