Senior Technician – Mechanical Engineering

The Role We are trying to find an inspired person to join our Faculty of Science and Engineering as a Mechanical Engineering Technician. The post will offer functional mentor and assistance in the Machine store Laboratory. Your focus will be on our workshop machinery and fabrication methods, contributing to the learning experience of the trainees by supplying useful assistance on making use of resources and promoting an excellent understanding of mechanical engineering activities and techniques.We desire provide

Dealing with our students on their last year and MSc jobs, you will help with additional curriculum tasks such as Primary Engineer and Formula Student. The Person

You will be a hands-on service technician, who is aiming to engage the next generation of engineers in machining, fabrication, and mechanical engineering. As a self-motivated, passionate individual, with an interest in Autosport and aerospace, you will be all set to add to the everyday operation and maintenance of the school’s laboratories and be excited to deal with a range of students, academics, and clients. You will have a verifiable track record in the field of mechanical engineering and workshop practices. We are trying to find people who are certified to an appropriate HNC or a comparable City & & Guilds qualification, with hands on experience of working within a workshop.

There are couple of faculties throughout the UK university landscape as varied in their scope as the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing at Kingston University. We teach and research study throughout a large range of subjects, allowing for real cross-discipline innovation and creativity.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a beginning wage of ₤ 34,809 per annum.
