As one of the academic colleges within the university, the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (CHMLS) aims to deliver excellent research and educational programmes at both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT) levels in fields such as Sports, Health and Exercise Sciences, Nursing, Biological Sciences and Occupational Therapy to make the University a key contributor to the UK’s teaching and research agenda for health and health-related studies.
The College is seeking a highly skilled administrator to join our Assessment and Curriculum Office (ACO) in a challenging and rewarding role. The focus of the work is to provide effective administrative support and guidance to academic colleagues in the operation and delivery of our taught programmes in one of our academic departments, with potentially some overlap for apprenticeship and Brunel Online programmes.
The successful candidate would be responsible for providing essential high-level administrative services, primarily in the operation of Boards and Panels of Examiners and other governance-related functions for both UG and PGT programmes. You will also play a key role in the development and subsequent accreditation of the Department’s expanding portfolio of programmes. Whilst not directly student-facing, this work plays a key role in ensuring our students receive an excellent experience.
We are looking for candidates who can successfully demonstrate:
- A track record of providing high-quality administrative service, obtained from any industry or sector
- The ability to develop acumen in specific programme areas and take primary responsibility for their successful administration
- Excellent IT and technical skills across a broad range of packages
- Excellent team working skills that will build positive working relationships
- Strong communication skills, alongside the ability to converse on complex subjects with a wide variety of stakeholders
