60 species.Expression Atlas serves proteomics, microarrays and single cell/bulk RNA-seq to millions of users every year. You will take part in collaborative projects intending to include value to large expression atlases.
Your role
Senior Software Engineer obligations consist of leading a group of junior designers in conjunction with the Project Leader, refining site specs and dealing with technical issues. To be effective in this role, you need to have extensive experience in designing and developing full stack web applications from scratch and thorough knowledge of Java.Ultimately, you will ensure our resources, Expression Atlas and Single Cell Expression Atlas, are up and running and cover both internal and external consumer needs.Responsibilities: Identify user and system requirements for new

- TDD, integration and system screening frameworks Excellent troubleshooting skills Experience in mentoring younger designers and having the ability to work side by side with other senior technical employee A solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS Experience with mockup and UI prototyping tools An understanding of security practices Familiarity with RESTful APIs A BSc/MSc or higher in Computer Science or appropriate field The capability to work within
- a team is important to this position. Outstanding communication abilities and an ability to work to tight deadlines are vital. You will be needed to communicate technical documents, to
- add to development team meetings, contribute to internal documentation as well as supply user orientated interaction with external and internal users
