About the Role

Applications are invited for a Senior Research Theme Delivery Manager (Clinical) based in our West Smithfield campus; however, you will be required to work across multiple BRC delivery partner locations with the potential for hybrid working.

The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry offers international excellence in research and teaching and supports clinical service for a population of unrivalled ethnic diversity in East London and the wider Thames Gateway. About You

You will possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, and a relevant clinical qualification (e.g., MD, MBBS, RGN etc.,). You will have experience of working on CTIMP and/or Medical Device trials, including exposure to clinical research legislation and regulations and experience handling quality management systems, pharmacovigilance as well as database management; you will possess in-depth knowledge of all relevant clinical research regulations in the UK, including Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations and Research Governance Framework (RGC) for Health and Social Care and Medical Device Regulations.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The post holder will work within the NIHR Barts BRC – a delivery partnership of Barts Health NHS Trust, Queen Mary University of London, St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and St George’s University of London. The post-holder will work within the Barts BRC’s Precision Digital Health, Cardiovascular Devices and Trials Theme which aims to harness the exponential growth in sensing technologies and data acquisition to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes for cardiovascular conditions. The post holder will closely work with the team at the Cardiovascular Devices Hub – an innovative platform that brings together clinicians, academics, engineers and industry to take cardiovascular innovations from concept to market; the Barts Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit – a UKCRC Registered centre that supports trials delivering therapeutic innovation for patients with heart disease, and, the QMUL Digital Environment Research Institute.

The post is a full-time fixed term appointment for 1 year with the potential to extend. The salary for the post is Grade 6 (£52,549 to £58,595) per annum (subject to qualifications and experience) and is inclusive of London Allowance.
