< img src=" https://jobeternal.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/senior-research-infrastructure-developer.jpg "class=" ff-og-image-inserted "> The UCL Centre for Advanced Research Computing( ARC) is UCL’s new institute for facilities and innovation in digital research – the supercomputers, datasets, software application and individuals that make computational science and digital scholarship possible.

This Senior Research Infrastructure Developer role will have a specific responsibility for designing, structure, and supporting facilities and services for saving and managing information and metadata.

Existing services cover a range of functions, from multi-petabyte on-site storage systems supporting High-Performance Computing and longer-term data management, through cloud-hosted research output publishing systems, to systems to directly support researchers in their work such as the recently-launched Electronic Research Notebook.

The Senior Research Infrastructure Developer (Research Data) will have substantial technical proficiency and experience of establishing and supporting facilities and/or applications for great information management. They will be skilled at writing scripts to transform and move information between systems, have an excellent eye for detail, and a keenness to find out brand-new abilities and innovations.

As part of this function there is an opportunity for development and future expert development, guiding the focus to consist of training, line management, original research study, or even more expertise in information management or HPC/Cloud innovations.
