A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Impact Officer in London to support our ambitious 5-year strategy, where we seek to accelerate progress in respiratory research and innovation by tripling public funding to £150 million each year and increasing our own investment in pioneering research and innovation.
Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.
As Senior Research Impact Officer, you will be responsible for defining, capturing, analysing and demonstrating the impact of our research and innovation portfolios. You will liaise with researchers to support this impact work and coordinate the provision of appropriate information on impact to colleagues in other directorates. You will also be responsible for a programme of work that will develop charity advocates amongst the research community.
You will be a well-organised team player who’s outgoing, persuasive and able to work well with people across a range of seniority levels both internally and externally. As an enthusiastic and experienced research impact professional who’s passionate about demonstrating how research changes lives, you will have a great opportunity to shape our work in this area.
As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits including 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), membership of a health cash plan, employee assistance programme, cycle-to-work scheme, interest-free annual season Travelcard loan and pension scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation committed to being the driving force behind the transformation of lung health.
