The School of Security Studies are looking to recruit a Senior Programme Officer, who will be responsible for managing the administration of postgraduate taught programmes in the Department of War Studies. This role offers challenge, reward, and an excellent opportunity to lead a team in supporting our portfolio of postgraduate taught degree programmes in a fast-paced higher education environment. The role will report to the School Programmes Manager and is based at our Strand campus.
The Senior Programme Officer provides essential support to students and academics in one of our many, schools, institutes, centres within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role includes taking responsibility to resolve complex queries and issues, set up/administration of the virtual learning environment, timetabling and the production of handbooks, using databases and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate student data on progress and achievement, and delivering a high-quality service across the student lifecycle. Working with colleagues to plan and coordinate a varied set of activities, you will have opportunities to further develop your knowledge of regulations and process and be part of professional networks promoting best practice. As part of the King’s community, you’ll work alongside inspiring academic staff, administrators, and students.
