Job description

The Dickson Poon School of Law is recruiting a Senior Programme Officer (SPO) to join our Partnerships, Professional & Executive Education team and support the running of our professional postgraduate programmes and executive short courses. This is an exciting opportunity for people interested in pursuing a career or taking their next step in Higher Education administration. 

The Senior Programme Officer provides essential support to students, academics and other stakeholders. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role includes taking responsibility to investigate and resolve complex queries and issues, supporting activities such as student module registration, assessments and the production of handbooks, using databases and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate student data on progress and achievement, and delivering a high-quality service across the student lifecycle. Working with colleagues to plan and coordinate a varied set of activities, you will also have opportunities to further develop your knowledge of relevant regulations and be part of professional networks promoting best practice. As part of the King’s community, you’ll work alongside inspiring academic and professional services staff and students.    

This role is responsible to the Programmes Manager (PPEE).

This post will be offered as maternity cover on a 10-month fixed-term contract until 31 July 2024. This is a full-time post. For internal candidates, this may be offered on a secondment basis.
