Senior Personal Assistant to the Director

We are seeking a professional and highly capable individual to provide exceptional support to Professor Nicholas Lemoine, Director of the Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London and Medical Director of the NIHR Clinical Research Network. The role will focus on ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective running of the Director’s business agenda as well as contributing more broadly to supporting the wider leadership of the Institute.

The postholder is responsible for providing high-quality executive assistant support to the Director and will act with integrity and discretion, ensuring that professional and quality service standards are consistently maintained and applied within the role.

The postholder will be the first point of contact and a key external representative of the Director’s Office, liaising on a daily basis with high profile external stakeholders, staff and students. The role provides a unique opportunity to gain broad experience in a high-level role, managing a complex diary and juggling a number of competing priorities.

About the Department

The role holder works with the Institute Manager and other team members to provide overall executive support to the Director and support the overall effectiveness of the wider Institute team. The role will require considerable initiative, judgement and adaptability to decide on appropriate courses of action, working in a busy and fast-paced environment.

The post is based at the Charterhouse square campus London. It is a full time, permanent appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £38,655 – £45,479 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
