
The University of Greenwich’s Information and Library Services Directorate is looking to hire two highly motivated, dynamic, and experienced Senior Network Analysts to support and drive the existing and future development of our network infrastructure. Working within the Network Team, you will manage and support the entirety of our wired and wireless services, including IP telephony, core and datacentre networks, firewalls, and VPNs.
Based on the beautiful and historic Greenwich Campus by the Thames, this is an exciting time to be joining the University’s Infrastructure Team within Information & Library Services. The University has a progressive and ambitious Digital Strategy, and you will be joining at a time when we are looking to implement changes to achieve those goals.
This is a senior role within the ILS Directorate which consists of several other highly skilled team members. The successful applicants will be required to show demonstrable skills and experience in network administration, routing, switching, firewalling, design, and troubleshooting. This will include demonstrable in-depth knowledge of networking protocols related to layer2 and layer3, wireless, DNS, DHCP, Network Access Control (NAC), and the TCP/IP stack, including Azure Cloud networking and network automation.
In addition to providing a support service, you will be responsible for driving through enhancements by reviewing existing processes and working with key stakeholders to introduce improved ways of working by implementing new functionality, under the remit of continual service improvement.
As a member of the ILS Directorate, the role contributes to the development and execution of the University’s Digital Strategy. It also ensures its alignment with the University’s business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.
The successful candidate must be Educated to degree level or hold a professional qualification.
