The People & Organisational Development team are looking for a Senior Learning & Development Advisor.
The role will work closely with the POD core team as well as faculties, directorates, and schools. You will get to be part of a progressive People & Organisational Development department and make a significant contribution to realising our strategic aims to improve the working and studying experience for staff and students at Imperial.
Duties and responsibilities
This role is responsible for providing learning and development and facilitation support, advice and solutions to Imperial colleagues and teams in contribution to building a Values driven, highly effective and healthy organisational culture aligned to the People and new Imperial Strategies.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Leading on the designated POD programmes; their delivery, evaluation, improvement and growth
- Proactively utilising data to understand key needs, drawing on feedback from evaluation and key stakeholders to inform POD Centre content
- Actively contributing to the improvement of user experience processes
- Building on the work of Insights which is a termly online welcome-orientation session for all new staff
- Supporting the use of psychometrics and 360s
- Facilitating team events utilising psychometrics and drawing on a range of OD and facilitation tools
- Contributing to the development of a Quality Assurance framework across POD
- Contributing to the design and delivery of People & Culture College-wide initiatives
Essential requirements
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience of conducting Learning Needs Analysis, design, facilitation, and evaluation
- Experience in training design and delivery / facilitation of a range of interventions and learning & development solutions
- A professional qualification in learning and development, human resources, professional development and/or psychology
- Experience gained in mid-level roles in areas such as Learning and Development, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Operational Improvement, Change Management or similar.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Relationship management and ability to build and sustain good working relationships with key staff and external stake holders
- Experience and knowledge of quality assurance and evaluation
- Up to date knowledge in at least three of the following:
- Career development
- Talent development/management
- Personal/professional effectiveness
- Digital learning
- Coaching/Mentoring
- Change management.

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework until early 2023. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite.
