In this role, you will be responsible for leading an in-house team and providing operational oversight for a third-party Facilities Management service partner. You will ensure that the University of Sunderland in London is a safe, clean, and well-managed working environment that supports teaching and learning activities and enhances students’ experience. As this is a brand-new role, it is an exciting opportunity where you will be able to make your mark and thrive in this vital area of our operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in managing a facilities services operation, including: setting and monitoring standards in line with legislation and managing contracts for third party suppliers. You will be customer focussed with experience providing specialist advice and a pragmatic decision maker with the ability to solve problems and plan solutions. You will ideally have a qualification in Health and Safety or demonstrable experience and knowledge of Health and safety legislation.

To meet the requirements of this student-facing role, we anticipate the successful candidate will be based full-time at the UoSiL campus in Canary Wharf in London.
