If you have experience working in Estates or Facilities, along with good handyperson skills, this position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your knowledge and develop your skills.

As our Senior Estates Operative, you will play a key role providing a safe, efficient, and secure site and facilities service at Wimbledon High School; one of the leading schools in the UK.

Working under the direction of the Estates Manager & Facilities Manager, you will take responsibility for the security, maintenance and upkeep of our school buildings and premises.

About you:

You will have hands-on experience with general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing etc).

You will have a good understanding of systems such as HVAC & BMS alongside knowledge of CAFM systems.

You will also have experience of supervising staff, excellent organisational skills, and the willingness to learn new skills.

You will have previous experience of working with and managing external contractors alongside a good knowledge and understanding of reactive, routine, and planned maintenance.

You will have good knowledge, understanding and experience of relevant Health and Safety legislation and requirements.

You will have good knowledge, understanding and experience of fire safety, security, and emergency procedures.

You will have relevant Health and Safety training, such as IOSH or a willingness to work towards this.

You will have a willingness to undertake any additional relevant training offered to develop and enhance your progression within your role and within the Estates team.
