Background We are seeking to designate a Senior Communications Officer( Staff and Stakeholders) to cover a period of maternity leave (approximately 12 months) who can work with us to provide effective internal interactions to all staff, and external stakeholders to connect them to City’s establishing civic engagement agenda. Part of the Communications and Events Team in the Marketing & External Relations Department, the department works throughout the University to develop marketing materials, occasions, publications, media relations and a web presence to support its activities. The Senior Communications Officer will join a group of inspired communications professionals. Obligations The Senior Communications Officer will deliver essential interactions to staff to allow them to carry out their functions and remain linked to the University.

You will be responsible for

advising associates across all levels and locations of the University, including the Executive Team, on personnel interactions and messaging, frequently producing copy under

very tight deadlines utilizing first-class composed interaction skills. Other responsibilities will involve working on the development of City’s Civic Engagement Strategy and subsequent shipment, making sure promo and engagement with all stakeholders along with the line management of the Communications Officer. Individual Specification You will have substantial experience of operating in internal interactions, including using a wide range of interactions channels such as intranet and e-newsletters, along with stakeholder engagement, combined with outstanding composed and verbal interaction skills. Highly established social and influencing abilities are essential as the task includes building relationships with people throughout all levels of the University and in the neighborhood, consisting of regional neighbours and members of the regional council. Experience of developing and delivering interactions and community engagement techniques, dealing with neighborhood organisations and understanding of the higher education sector is preferable.
