We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our high performing Retail team. The Retail department operates 3 outlets on campus: 2 brick and mortar stores (Costcutter store and Students’ store) and 1 online store (Snappy shopper). These outlets aim to provide excellent retail services to the benefit of the campus and local community. The role holder will work across all 3 outlets depending on the needs of the business.
This role will encompass all the general day-to-day duties of a Retail assistant working in a busy store. These include serving customers, replenishing stock and keeping the shop floor clean and tidy. Other responsibilities will include supervising agency staff, stock ordering, receiving deliveries, reconciling the tills and opening/closing the store when necessary. This is a very busy operation, so you need to have a hands-on approach and a positive attitude.
The role is a 35 hours per week contract and the successful candidate should be flexible with regards to working hours, which will include some weekends and evenings, 06:00am start on some days and 11:15pm finish on others.
