About the Role We are recruiting for a Residential Life Officer to join the Residential Life team, which, as part of the Residential Services Department, supports over 3,000 students living in Queen Mary halls, throughout 3 campuses, and in halls in Stratford and Stepney Green. The post holder will lead on the organisation and functional management of a range of inclusive occasions and efforts created to improve the student experience, promote health and wellbeing and foster a spirit of community within halls. The post holder will supervise a team of as much as twenty trainee personnel to support all aspects of Residential Services.

The post holder will add to the advancement of a yearly occasions calendar and frequently examine it to guarantee that sustainable levels of student engagement and a balance of quality and worth for money are achieved. The post holder will also create content for the Residential Life site and social networks.

About You
You will have a strong dedication to promoting positive wellbeing in trainees and a passion for enhancing their experience in halls and their sense of belonging at Queen Mary.

You will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be confident connecting with students in large and little groups, and encouraging personnel. You should have an imaginative, solution-focused method and be available to work flexibly.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment. Starting salary will be ₤ 28,208 per year, inclusive of London Allowance.
