Research Fellow in Electricity Markets
The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7.
The UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources (UCL ISR) generate knowledge in the globally sustainable use of natural resources and train the future leaders of the field. This position will be for at least one year, to be extended if follow-on funding is secured. The successful candidate with lead analysis of the key design options and challenges surrounding a ‘dual-market’ approach to electricity markets, in light of the challenges faced by current market structures with increasing penetration of low-cost renewables.

The successful candidate with have a PhD or equivalent experience in issues surrounding electricity market design and operation, and have knowledge and experience surrounding commercial electricity contract design and trading. They will also have the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, and an ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, with businesses, policy makers, academics and civil society organisations.
