Salary from £31,029 to £35,635 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £38,283 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 1 year
We are looking to hire highly-skilled and motivated individuals to work under the direction of Sandra Sequeira. The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects on a broad range of topics in applied microeconomics, development economics and political economy, using “big data” and experimental and quasi-experimental methods to identify causal effects and test the predictions of economic models.
The successful candidates should have a completed Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and/or a completed (or nearly completed) Master’s degree in economics or other closely related discipline strong quantitative and data analysis skills, strong programming skills and confidence with the use of different data management software and the ability to manage own areas of responsibility independently without constant direct supervision. Experience in Stata is essential and experience with ArcGis and machine learning desirable. We are looking for someone with fluency in written and spoken English, who is able to communicate effectively to different audiences, conveying complex technical information in a clear and accurate manner. The position will also require strong organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and to multiple deadlines and a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
