Research Assistant in Behavioural Science

Salary from £31,029 to £35,635 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £38,283 pa inclusive of London allowance

This is a fixed-term appointment for 12 months

The Inclusion Initiative (TII) launched in November 2020 with the aim of bringing behavioural science insights to financial and professional services firms, allowing them to enhance the inclusion of all talent. Simultaneously, TII aims to produce academically rigorous and relevant research that links directly to this core purpose.

The postholder will contribute to advancing TII’s research agenda through the development and execution of research projects and engagement with internal and external stakeholders. With supervision from Dr Grace Lordan, the postholder will be expected to design and implement studies that will lead to new insights that are at the frontier of knowledge in the social sciences and will have the opportunity to lead and publish academic papers. They will continually update their knowledge and understanding and translate knowledge of advances in the field into research and teaching activities.

The successful candidate will have a track record of planning and executing research and have experience in causal inference and of Stata, R, Python or equivalent. They will be able to co-/author papers of peer-reviewed journal article quality and will have completed, or have nearly completed, an MSc in Behavioural Science or a related discipline. They will have the ability to work as part of a team with excellent written and oral communication skills, able to manage own workload and work to tight deadlines. The start date for the role is flexible but must be no later than 3 October 2022.
