The Division of Health Services Research and Management seeks a Research Assistant/ Research Fellow to sign up with a project exploring the barriers and facilitators to family caregivers supplying pressure ulcer (injury) care to older individuals living in your home. Pressure ulcer decrease is a healthcare priority. Pressure ulcers are a source of stress and anxiety to household caregivers yet couple of research studies have explored their experiences of caring for an older person with pressure ulcers or evaluated their pressure ulcer support requirements.


Key obligations will include communicating with Trust partners to determine qualified participants, consenting research study individuals, conducting semi-structured interviews, taking part in the analysis of qualitative interviews, adding to the write of the final report and the preparation of manuscripts for publication, setting up and getting ready for advisory group meetings, managing the research study budget plan, and associated administrative responsibilities. Research study Fellow tasks would also include taking the lead in the everyday coordination of the job, engagement and info exchange with partners, qualitative data analysis together with dissemination of research through publications reports and presentations.

Person Specification

The ideal prospect will hold a postgraduate qualification in Health Psychology or a used topic such as (however not limited to) health services research study or used health sciences.

They will understand research design, theory-informed research study and outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills. Experience in either carrying out qualitative research study or collaborative working with family caregivers and/or service users would be beneficial. Research Fellow prospects would be needed to have a PhD or equivalent in pertinent field along with knowledge of theory notified research. A satisfactory improved DBS Disclosure is needed for this position.

This post is currently subject to the new necessary vaccination rules for roles which involve Care Quality Commission-regulated activity so we will require proof of vaccinations upon consultation.
