We are looking for a Representation and Democracy Manager with a commitment to improving students’ academic experience at University of the Arts London. You will be responsible for the training and support of student representatives and work closely with teams across the union and university to grow participation in our democracy, campaigns and representation work.
The role is ideal for anyone who has hands-on experience of working with young people or students, within a democratic, campaigns or policy setting in the education or third sector. You should have an enthusiastic and a high energy approach to your work with excellent organisation and communication skills. You should be passionate about connecting with people, and have ability to build relationships quickly, a reputation for being reliable and trustworthy and can work well on your own as well as part of team. You will be committed to our values of equity and inclusion while empathetic and diplomatic to the needs of students. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and will be proud to support and inspire students to challenge injustice and create positive changes for themselves in both the learning and living experience at UAL, whilst engaging in both local and national policy discussions and campaigns.
