
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term contract for two years with a possibility of an extension

Imperial College London is searching for a self-starter who is hard-working, collaborative, enthusiastic and well-informed to manage our strategic initiatives in Quantum Engineering, Science & Technology.
The cross-faculty Centre of Excellence in Quantum Engineering, Science and Technology(QuEST) involves over 70 research groups from 12 departments. QuEST has also been selected as one of the College’s Academic Strategy Projects, with the aim of translating discoveries in quantum science into transformative quantum technologies. The academic strategy project has three initial areas of focus: 1. Materials for Quantum Technologies; 2. Quantum Internet; 3. Applications of Quantum Computing.
Imperial is also the lead institution, with The University of Manchester, in a new EPSRC-funded UK Network in Materials for Quantum Technologies (M4QN). This will initially comprise of eight Material Interest Groups and six Thematic Interest Groups that interact with the National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP). The aim of M4QN is to connect the UK-wide materials community with the NQTP.
The Manager will manage both the QuEST academic strategy project and M4QN and will work with the Centre Director and Network Principal Investigator, engaging with academics from across Imperial and the UK, coordinating and supporting the organisation of strategic meetings, events and other activities that deliver the aims of the Centre and the Network. Management of the Network will be carried out in close partnership with the Network Co-Investigator and shared with a second Network Manager at The University of Manchester. You will also engage proactively with external partners including companies and the major investments under the NQTP.
The Manager will be responsible for designated aspects of the day to day running of the Centre and Network including communications; visitor liaison and event logistics; Network website and social media
management; strategic development; financial forecasting, monitoring and reporting; organisation of public engagement and outreach activities; and preparing periodic activity reports.
