
About the Role
The Quantitative Skills Tutor will work closely with the Director of Education, Student Engagement Manager and Programmes Team with a unique and particular emphasis to deliver group in-sessional and pre-sessional workshops on research methods and data analysis and provide drop-in and one-to-one sessions on quantitative skills for undergraduate and post graduate taught students. The Quantitative Skills Tutor will work alongside four Student Support Officers and an Academic Writing Tutor, so will be able to refer students to these colleagues for additional support where this is necessary.
The post holder will respond to and plan for the growing demands of the School’s staff and increasing student expectations in relation to taught programmes, and to the School’s commitment to providing all students with appropriate support in order that they might achieve their full potential in their programmes of study.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of providing quantitative skills support, ideally in an educational context. The candidate will be highly numerate and have demonstrable experience of data extraction, data analysis and statistical testing. They should also have effective knowledge and use of IT systems in support of role including use of databases and specialist software for quantitative research, in particular SPSS, EViews, Stata, R and Latex.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is Full Time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of September 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £42,405 – £49,785 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
