About the Role

We are seeking a Process Improvement Project Manager to join the Operations and Improvement Team within the Student Experience Directorate at Queen Mary University. The role will oversee the implementation of projects associated within the five main priority areas of the Student Experience Plan and will develop streamlined processes which support the student experience. The role has been established to transform service delivery, to enable new activities, and offer an enhanced experience to all Queen Mary students and directorate staff.

About You

This is a challenging and important position for a highly organised, logical, self-starter, with excellent communication skills and attention to details. You will have excellent planning, communication, negotiation and influencing skills. Working closely with a Senior Data Analyst, and with previous experience of project management/process improvement work, you will be dealing with a varied range of complex projects, and will have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, including experience of improving project-based business processes using data preparation and presentation tools. You will have demonstrable experience of successfully planning, managing, and delivering a portfolio of projects with multiple stakeholders across team and departmental boundaries. You will have also have experience of working in a service-led, customer-orientated environment. Experience of working in a higher education environment will be an advantage.

About the Directorate

The Student Experience Directorate is student-facing and provides a diverse range of services and support for both students and staff across the University. The Directorate consists of four principal areas, Library Services, Student Wellbeing, Careers and Enterprise and Registry Services. In addition to offering services that are core to the student experience we also offer a range of guidance for staff who support students within the Directorate.

The post is based across two sites, including the Mile End Campus and our dedicated professional services offices, both of which are located in East London. It is a full-time, permanent appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £42,405- £49,785 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
