The Anna Freud Centre is a world-leading mental health charity for children, young people and their families. Our mission is to close the gap in wellbeing and mental health by advancing, translating, delivering, and sharing the best science and practice with everyone who impacts the lives of children, young people and their families. More information about the Anna Freud Centre is available on our website: www.annafreud.org/about-us/.
The Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) Programme is part of this nationally funded programme and aims to train a workforce of new practitioners that offer help for common difficulties in children and young people, in particular CBT-informed evidence-based guided self-help for low to moderate intensity anxiety, low mood and behaviour problems, within a variety of community settings.
We value diversity and aim to have diverse workforce that reflects the community and our service users, in line with our vision, values and inclusion commitments. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
In collaboration with University College London (UCL) as the degree awarding body, Anna Freud is recruiting a Practice Tutor to support the delivery of the CWP programme.
The Practice Tutor will be expected to facilitate the delivery of practice tutor groups to enable CWP trainees to develop skills in delivering brief interventions for common mental health problems for children and young people. The practice tutor will also contribute to teaching sessions, and undertake marking, personal tutoring and make other similar contributions to support the delivery of the programme. The post-holder must have knowledge and experience of implementing CBT informed interventions for low to moderate intensity anxiety, low mood and behaviour problems and experience in small group facilitation.
Please email [email protected] if you require assistance or experience difficulties in applying. Please note all our posts require candidates to have the Right to Work in the UK at the time of applying and we do not hold a sponsorship license.
Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): the delivery of the teaching and Practice Tutor Groups will be face-to-face at our London office (King’s Cross – 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH) and occasionally remote/online (some flexibility will be necessary should circumstances change). It will be essential for the post holders to work from the London office on Friday’s during term time.
There is one position available on a permanent basis.
