
Postdoctoral position to work on structure/function studies of mitochondrial respiratory Complex IV and supercomplexes.
You will be evolving in the very dynamic and fast advancing field of mitochondrial biology, working in a multidisciplinary lab environment with opportunities to learn or further your skills in a very diverse range of cutting-edge techniques.
To be successful, you will have PhD-level experience in biochemistry, protein expression and purification. You will have a proven track record of your research, including peer-reviewed publications, and a keen interest in structural biology and molecular mechanisms. Experience in cell culture, membrane proteins and/or structural biology techniques (e.g. FTIR, X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM) would be an advantage.
Remuneration:
Grade 7 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £39,173 rising to £44,775 per annum.
The salary quoted is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area.
