Starting date from 1 st October 2022 and preferably not behind 1 st January , 2023. About the project/work tasks LEGITIMULT includes eleven European
partners. The postdoctoral fellow will be based at the Department of Comparative Politics and belong to the
research team of the job Strengthening Regional Democracy( SRD) led by PI Arjan Schakel. The successful applicant will conduct research within the Horizon Europe job Legitimate Crisis Management and Multilevel Governance (LEGITIMULT ). LEGITIMULT assesses the impact of the Covid-19 determines taken by worldwide, national and subnational federal governments on multilevel organizations and intergovernmental relations, and these measures’ result on democratic
governance. The postdoctoral scientist will help in the developing of a coding scheme on intergovernmental relations between nationwide and subnational federal governments and the collection of choices taken by nationwide and subnational federal governments in 31 European nations in relation to the Covid-19 crisis, and help to build and evaluate datasets
on multilevel governance organizations and democratic governance. Certifications: PhD within social sciences( e.g., political science, sociology, economics), or have submitted the doctoral thesis prior to using. An awarded PhD is a condition for work. Efficiency in English. Experience in applying quantitative methods and preferably experience with building and analysing massive datasets with mainstream statistical bundles( e.g., Stata or R).
