The UCL Global Business School for Health is the world’s first business school dedicated to health. We reimagine global healthcare management, unravel health challenges from a business perspective and question the status quo in healthcare management to inspire public good.
We are launching an ambitious post graduate teaching programme in October 2022 delivering teaching in MBA Health and three different MSc courses: Digital Health and Entrepreneurship, Biotech and Pharmaceutical Management, and Global Healthcare Management .
We are looking for motivated PGTAs and senior PGTAs to be part of an enthusiastic and committed programme team in an international environment. They will support teaching and learning across all our modules, working with the academic modules leads through the delivery of small group teaching for students taking modules in the Global Business School for Health.
The main duties of the post are tutorial class teaching, regular meetings with the course lecturer, provision of feedback to students, provision of weekly office hours, attendance reporting, coursework assessment and examination marking. Senior PGTAs will be required to provide light-touch leadership to PGTAs, in addition to teaching duties.
Teaching Assistants will be given training in support of their roles.
The number of hours to be worked each week will be agreed with the PGTA according to their availability and module schedule, but up to a maximum of 180 hours in total for the academic year if you are a current full-time PhD student.
Requirements for role
- The applicant must be a current PhD student in a relevant discipline enrolled until at least early 2023.
- The applicant must have the right to work in the UK.
- The ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, with students, academic and administrative staff at all levels.
- Skills in quantitative and/or qualitative research
- Senior PGTA candidates must have prior teaching experience
