The post-holder likewise handles a small group of administrative assistants within the Research Office. The Research Office group supports the research and teaching

activities of EMBL-EBI’s Principal Investigators and the approximately 100 research staff and students working for them. Your role Providing PA assistance to the Head of Research and specific Research Group Leaders within EMBL-EBI Research

  • consisting of: Diary management and planning; Travel arrangements including booking of flights, accommodation, taxis and repayment of costs; Document drafting and formatting; Tracking of due dates and jobs. Offering administrative assistance to the group members of the Head of Research and

  • to the Head of Research and Research Programme Manager in organising conferences, conferences, retreats and other events.
  • Assisting in the coordination of the EMBL PhD programme at EMBL-EBI consisting of handling enquiries about the plan, arranging interviews, interfacing
  • with University of Cambridge and across EMBL, arranging events, administration for review and evaluation meetings, managing financial elements of the programme, record keeping and acting as the point of contact for trainees. Assisting in management of post-doctoral fellows at EMBL-EBI including recruitment, interaction with the University of Cambridge, arranging events, record keeping and serving as the point of contact for post-doctoral enquiries. Serve as a point of contact for interns/trainees within EMBL-EBI Research, interacting with HR and broader administrative services where essential. Budget management
  • for the Research Office, consisting of pre- and post-doctoral budgets. As a member of the larger Institute Administration Network, assistance adherence to administrative
