Ca’ Foscari is looking for a researcher of Archival science, bibliography and librarianship capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.
Teaching activities: 60 hours of curricular and integrative teaching in Bachelor, Master, Doctoral degrees, together with students tutoring, such as:
- Archivistica digitale, 30 hours, MA in Scienze archivistiche e biblioteconomiche;
- 30 hours of integrative teaching in Archival science for the programs of Archival and Library Science and in Digital and Public Humanities.
Research Activities: the position is part of the Excellence project of the Department of Humanities on Digital and Public Humanities (2018-2022). The candidate must possess general skills related to the academic discipline of Archival science, bibliography and librarianship, as indicated in the declaration. The selected candidate must carry out a scientific activity on the historical and institutional aspects concerning the production, management, conservation, representation and measurement of resources in digital archives; theoretical and practical aspects concerning descriptive, standards, protocols and formats functional to the interoperability between management systems of memory institutions for the widest convergence of systems, within the context of national and international studies.
The position will be hosted at the Department of Humanities, a center for the development of innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to history, literature, classics, archeology, art and anthropology. In the Department of Humanities, Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellows and ERC awardees work together with the permanent faculty, creating a vibrant academic environment.
