The Student Wellbeing Service at Kingston University is seeking to recruit a proactive service administrator to contribute to the Mental Health and Disability Service.

This will involve providing dedicated administrative support to the Mental Health and Disability team in Student Wellbeing. You will manage all general enquiries from students registered with or seeking to register with the service. You will assist with a range of administrative tasks such as answering and distributing hub enquiries, taking meeting notes, managing appointments and room bookings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders as necessary and other tasks where required. You will also provide some additional administrative assistance to the Student Counselling and Wellbeing team.

The Person

You will have knowledge and experience of good office practices and working in an administrative environment as well as excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and electronic mail/internet. You will have experience of working within a team within higher education or a similar environment and you will be able to work flexibly within a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task, prioritise your workload and work independently in a busy environment. You will also be able to communicate effectively at all levels, with strong oral and written communication skills.

Directorate/Function

This Directorate plays a vital role in the retention and success of students at Kingston University. By taking a holistic, cohesive approach to the effective provision of services to our 17,000 students, we aim to enhance their experience through support that is effective and also responsive to their changing needs.

We cover three main areas of responsibility – Student Life, Student Wellbeing and the First Response and Administration team.

Student Life provides the University’s fundamental student services while Student Wellbeing is responsible for all wellbeing and safeguarding-related policies. The First Response and Administration Team, meanwhile, ensures the smooth running of all activities.

This is a full time, fixed term position for 1 year with a starting salary of £26,254 per annum.
