Your main responsibility is to work alongside the Electrical Senior Maintenance Technician to carry out PPM (Preventative Planned Maintenance) and reactive tasks of an electrical nature to ensure that all College staff, students and visitors across the College estate are provided with an efficient and responsive service and a safe working environment.
In order to be successful in this role you will have a good working knowledge of health and safety and other relevant law and the ability to survey works, list and order materials required for tasks.
As Birkbeck is an ‘evening university’ we have a flexible working pattern to cover the evening shift, and the postholder will also be required to be part of the on-call out of hours rota.

Remuneration:
Grade 4 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £26,712 rising to £30,190 per annum.
The salary quoted is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
