Our main requirements is an enthusiasm for supporting students to maximise their potential during their occupational therapy education and practice positionings. These will be students on a BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy or the two year sped up MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-registration).

The Person

We are looking for physical therapists who can demonstrate a series of expert occupational therapy experiences. You will need a strong gratitude of assessment and management techniques, medical reasoning, and their application to practice and contemporary health and social care. You will demonstrate previous university and/or practice based instructional experience. Our programs have a strong foundation in Occupational Science, Occupational Therapy theories and proof.

We can support you through mentoring, and through our postgraduate teaching program. Additional responsibilities will consist of teaching and assessing, module leadership, a personal tutor function, research support for trainees, practice positioning supervision.

The Faculty

Centre for Allied Health

The Centre combines a variety of allied signed up healthcare roles vital to society. We are integrated throughout the higher education and health sectors, discussing a variety of disciplines, consisting of paramedic science, diagnostic radiography, radiotherapy, physiotherapy and occupational treatment, in addition to having links to medicine at St George’s and nursing and midwifery at Kingston University.

These functions will be based at our St George’s University of London website in Tooting.

There are several positions readily available– 2 x fixed term and 1 x irreversible with a beginning wage of ₤ 39,932 per year or ₤ 44,614 per annum, depending upon experience plus a St George’s supplement of ₤ 730 per annum.

The set term posts are readily available as an outcome of maternity leave and it is expected that you will hold them for the complete period. Nevertheless, should the substantive post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to go back to work earlier, then this consultation will be ended, subject to a notification period of one month. The maternity cover is for 12 months.
