
The Ear Institute is a multi-disciplinary facility dedicated to understanding the mechanisms of hearing and the causes of deafness. Together with its partner, the Royal National ENT & Eastmans Dental Hospital, the Institute is a major national and international centre for specialist training and research.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and proactive Lecturer (Teaching) in Audiology and Advanced Audiologist to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Ear Institute and provide specialist clinical audiology services at RNENT and Eastmans Dental Hospital. We are particularly interested in applicants with clinical experience in adult diagnostics and rehabilitation but will consider applicants specialising in other areas.
This will be a full-time, 3 year fixed term appointment.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised clinical qualification in Audiology (or a related discipline, e.g. Healthcare Science) and be registered with AHCS, HCPC or RCCP. They will have extensive clinical experience in Audiology provision, with evidence of specialist knowledge and experience and successful management of a complex patient caseload. They will have experience of teaching and assessment within an HEI setting at undergraduate or postgraduate level. They will be highly motivated to provide quality clinical services and teaching and learning and have an ability to initiate and follow projects through to completion. They will be able to lead and work successfully as part of a team and be able to relate to students, patients and colleagues in a supportive and affirming way.
