The School of Built Environment at Massey University (SBE) is the premier provider of built environment higher education in New Zealand and beyond. Whilst fully embracing its strengths in learning and teaching, SBE has also been making its mark in built environment research. Recently, the School has been awarded a major five-year research grant from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment in New Zealand totalling $9.9M to improve the construction industry in New Zealand. The School is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to take up the role of Lecturer in Quantity Surveying to strengthen its dynamic and rapidly growing team.

Are you the high calibre of candidate we are looking for?

In this appointment, you will be expected to contribute to learning, teaching and supervision, research and enterprise, as well as academic citizenship activities in the School. You will have a strong background in Quantity Surveying and Construction Law including proven ability to develop and teach major curriculum in our quantity surveying related courses (mainly but not necessarily limited to courses such as Measurement, Cost Management, Construction Law and Contract) as well as sound knowledge in the implementation of IT/advanced technologies in quantity surveying field. In addition to proven ability in curriculum development and delivery, a good publication track record and experience applying for competitive grant proposals is also expected.
