
About the Role
The successful candidate will work with the SEM and WHRI Education leads to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching and assessment across post-graduate modules on the QMUL MSc / PGDip in Sports and Exercise Medicine, which is the longest-running postgraduate sports & exercise medicine course in Europe. The curriculum covers core elements of Exercise Physiology, Exercise as a health tool, Sports Injury Treatment, Sports Injury Rehabilitation, Medical Problems in Sport, Sports Injury and Research Methods. There will be scope for the development of new courses which reflect the evolving nature of the specialty. An appropriate balance of teaching and administration activities will be negotiated.
About You
The role would suit a person skilled in one or more SEM areas who now desires new challenges for the application of acquired high level skills. The person would have demonstrable capability in teaching through prior engagement with educational activities in her/his career to date.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The QMUL MSc / PGDip in Sports and Exercise Medicine, which is the longest-running postgraduate sports & exercise medicine course in Europe.
SEM has a particular interest in clinical trials, systematic reviews and has a fully equipped Human performance Laboratory. QMUL and the School of Medicine and Dentistry have many potential collaborators who are world-leading in diabetes, mental health, cardiovascular disease, inflammation, neurological conditions, artificial intelligence and more.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is part time (12.25 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 3 years. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £43,069 – £45,479 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
