We are recruiting for a Lecturer in Socially Engaged Practice, a crucial new role as part of Guildhall School’s evolving Institute for Social Impact in the Performing Arts. The postholder will support a review and relaunch of the Institute as a cross-School entity for excellent research, knowledge exchange, socially engaged practice and curriculum development. You will be an active researcher practitioner, capable of developing and publishing outputs that will be eligible for submission to the Research Excellence Framework exercise (REF 2028). Duties will include teaching, curriculum development, conducting research and engaging with working groups in relation to the activity of the Institute. Your role will be key to raising the profile of the Institute internally and externally as an internationally recognised centre of research and development for socially engaged practice in the performing arts, leasing with external partners where appropriate. The postholder should have significant higher education expertise in order to operate as a member of the academic staff, establishing closer links between the Institute, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and other relevant programmes of activity across the School.
