The School of Business and Management
As an AACSB accredited Business School, our strategic vision is to be recognised as a centre of excellence, inspiring and empowering students, and staff to realise their full potential for the benefit of society. Inspired by the history and values of Royal Holloway, University of London as a leader for progressive education, we embed issues of ethics, sustainability, and inclusion as core parts of our distinctive offering.
Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive environment where faculty and students are enabled to tackle the big questions facing business and society immersing all with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the emergent, rapidly changing digital world.
Our research is challenge-led and world leading. The 2021 REF indicated 82% of our research to be ‘world-leading or internationally excellent’, placing us at the top quartile in terms of outputs in the UK. Our research is led by three Research Centres: Centre for Research into Sustainability (CRIS), Centre for Critical and Historical Research on Organisations and Society (CHRONOS), and our centre for Digital Organisation and Society (DOS). We are developing more research centres to cultivate activity in emerging disciplinary areas, business analytics, logistics and fintech to name a few.
This is an exciting time to join us as we are looking to build on our current successes, our heritage, and our strategic location, to become a leading School nationally and globally by investing in all areas of activity. The school is developing an ambitious portfolio of post experience programmes.
Lecturer in Marketing
The Department of Marketing is expanding and seeking an outstanding lecturer. You must be passionate about teaching and learning, with a keen desire to prepare students for the changing digital world. This will be aligned to the demonstrable ability to teach and assess topics in person and online at both our Egham and London campuses.
As a department we are committed to multidisciplinary and responsible research in marketing that engages with contemporary debates in policy, business, and society. We would be particularly interested to hear from quantitative researchers with teaching experience and track record in the following areas:
- Retail and/or Services Marketing
- Digital and Social Media Marketing
- Consumer and Marketing Analytics
We welcome candidates with prior business experience who wish to make an impact to the subject area through research, teaching, and knowledge exchange.
The successful candidate will have the potential of developing a track record of impactful world-leading or internationally excellent research. Evidence of the potential to develop relevant funding applications and an emerging track record of success is highly desirable.
Our Department is committed to contributing to the School’s approach to excellence in teaching through innovation with the purpose of creating managers capable of leading responsibly and recognising the importance of meeting needs of all stakeholders.
