This post is full-time and permanent, working 35 hours per week

As part of significant growth and major investment in the Fashion area in the Westminster School of Arts (WSA), we are seeking a Lecturer in Fashion Branding and Communications to work both at undergraduate level and postgraduate level on our successful BA Fashion Business Management, BA Fashion Marketing and Promotion, and MA Fashion Business Management courses. Fashion is a highly regarded and high performing area within the School, rated as one of the top 10 Fashion Schools in the world and within the top three in the UK. To add to our successful Fashion team, we are seeking someone with specific expertise in branding, promotion and communications in the fashion industry and with a strong awareness of retail communications including visual merchandising, marketing, branding, communications and fashion consumers. The post holder will understand the volatile nature of the fashion business environment and how practical, creative, strategic and commercial decisions may shape the future of the fashion industry.

You must have practical experience within a fashion business and branding and promotions environment, and with a professional and academic profile commensurate with the current stage of your career. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to sustained continuous professional and academic development, and nurture and maintain links with the fashion industry to strengthen teaching programmes, research and associated activities. You will have experience in developing, designing and delivering teaching and student-centred learning, with a knowledge of industry practice, engagement in current debates, familiarisation with standards and regulations, and an awareness of diversity and ethical issues as they relate to fashion businesses and their management.

You are also expected to hold a post-graduate or professional qualification, with a view to developing your research. A Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or a PG Cert HE would also be an advantage, and the successful candidate will be expected to achieve this status within their first year in the post if they have not already done so.
