About the chance
The School of Art, Communication and English (ACE – formerly the School of Literature, Art and Media) is a dynamic, external facing school whose pedagogic practice, research profile and external engagements are shaped by synergies in between the disciplines of Art History, English, Media and Communications, Film Studies, Theatre and Performance Studies and the practice-based arts disciplines of the Sydney College of the Arts.
The school is now seeking to select an outstanding scholastic at the level of Lecturer in Digital Cultures to join our rapidly growing and highly effective department. This is a mentor and research opportunity planned to construct capability in the fast-growing undergraduate Digital Cultures program and the Masters of Digital Communication and Culture, located in the Media and Communications discipline.
The effective candidate would have responsibility for unit coordination in some of the following: Digital Audiences and Communities; Internet Cultures & & Governance; Games and Mixed Realities; Past and Futures of Digital Cultures. They would work with the Digital Cultures academic group on advancement of a brand-new first-year fundamental system, and a brand-new system on platform-based digital entertainment.The position is a teaching/research position, that will include HDR supervision.
