The School of Biological & Behavioural Sciences at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is undergoing an exciting phase of expansion and development. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and research-driven Lecturer in Conservation Biology to join our Department of Biology. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong publication record and a keen interest in establishing their research group in this discipline.
About You
The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to contribute to Conservation Biology, as studied at a regional or global scale. We are particularly interested in individuals who have been actively involved in consortia or collaborative research projects, as this reflects the candidate’s ability to engage in interdisciplinary research and foster fruitful collaborations. This is a broad search and therefore we encourage applications focusing on plants or animals, as well as on terrestrial or marine systems.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach on our undergraduate and/ or postgraduate programmes. Teaching responsibilities will be reduced for the first two years while the post holder establishes their research.
