About the Role

This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity to provide parental leave cover. The postholder will provide high-quality teaching in the field of clinical communication across all years of the MBBS Curriculum and the Physician Associates Programme.

About You

You will be a healthcare professional or medical practitioner with experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level in large or small group settings. You will have knowledge of the MBBS Curriculum as well as the clinical communication skills literature, principles and models, and teaching methodologies. You will understand the regulatory requirements for Doctors and Physician Associates and have experience of working in a healthcare setting.

One of six Institutes forming the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, the Institute for Health Sciences Education (IHSE) is responsible for the delivery of the Faculty’s medical degree programmes. Together with partner hospitals and primary care practices, we provide an innovative, forward-thinking and responsive curriculum to our passionate, diverse student body.

The post is based at the Robin Brooke Centre Campus in London. It is a part time, 12 fixed term contract with an expected start date of September 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range of £52,549 – £58,595 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance, or where relevant the Consultant Clinical Scale 2003, SAGP will be applied.
