The Greenwich Business School at the University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Advertising and Marketing Communication.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will demonstrate innovation in their teaching, such as Simulation Games, Lecture Video, and Flip Classroom. Applicants need to be confident in developing inspiring module materials and learning activities within a blended learning environment and providing excellent student support and pastoral care.
We are interested to hear about what areas you have taught and at which level. We are specifically interested in candidates that can teach subjects relating to Advertising, Branding and Marketing Communications and data analytics, as this is where we are developing our portfolio.
The position offers opportunities for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and enables an ambitious candidate to play an important role in the shaping of the future development of the department’s innovative approach to its curriculum design. There will also be the potential of undertaking the responsibility for Module leadership. The role will focus on delivering high-quality education in a variety of formats.
Ideally, we are also looking for candidates that have worked in the Advertising industry so they can bring that experience into the classroom and help design new, innovative, and creative modules.
Candidates would enjoy working with diverse cohorts of students and challenging them to fulfil their potential and are capable of teaching either or both qualitative and quantitative subjects.
There are strong research teams within the department which provide research that is of significance to businesses. A successful applicant would form part of a research group, contributing to REF submissions and overall research activities while at the same time receiving support and mentoring to enhance their skills and overall standing in the research community.
The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. in related field or recognised equivalent. The candidate must Hold a PGCert HE or recognised equivalent or be a Fellow of the HEA; or commit, as a condition of appointment, to obtain HEA Fellowship within twelve months of commencing the role, with the support of the university.
