London College of Fashion seeks a Lecturer in Fashion Imaging and Digital Illustration to join our diverse team of academic staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with the course team to produce the next generation of innovative, multi-disciplinary image-makers and original thinkers.

The BA Hons Fashion Imaging and Illustration course asks students to consider the future of the fashion image and its potential to communicate innovative, diverse and contemporary visual stories through a variety of traditional and digital media. As a lecturer, you will develop and deliver the curriculum in a thought-provoking way that challenges the canon of Fashion Imaging and Illustration. Your knowledge of the latest research and developments in Digital Arts can help students to develop their practice and consider how to shape the future of Fashion Media. You will also support the expansion of the course to meet the need for students to respond to industry concerns through the use of 2D, 3D and moving image technologies and processes.

Lecturers at UAL are also responsible for monitoring progress and attendance, maintaining assessment records and providing academic and pastoral support for our diverse and international pool of students.

Your profile 

The successful candidate will be able to work across a variety of image making disciplines and software. A relevant degree and industry experience in a field associated with Interactive Arts, Creative Direction, Animation, Graphic Design, Illustration is required. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching and assessment in a higher education environment (permanent, fractional, or hourly paid contract).
