The Department of Social & Political Sciences at Brunel University London is a thriving interdisciplinary Department, which features research and teaching in Politics, International Relations, Modern History, Military and International History, Sociology, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Anthropology, Global Challenges, and Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies. We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer (Education) on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support our teaching in the field of European history. The ability to teach on themes related to conflict and warfare would be an advantage. We would particularly welcome applications from historians capable of teaching our current offerings in this field.
The appointee will join a well-established research and teaching department with an outstanding track record of success. You will be expected to contribute teaching primarily on our history programmes, but potentially also in other relevant areas. You will also be able to participate in the activities of the research centres and/or hubs in the College of Business, Arts & Social Sciences, or a University Research Institute.
